Madhuri Dixit will next be seen in Remo’s musical flick…

Madhuri Dixit and Remo D’Souza, co-judges of the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa are now taking their professional acquaintance a notch higher.
Reportedly, Dixit will feature in D’Souza’s upcoming song and dance film.
When contacted, D’Souza told, “It’s my dream to direct a musical film, unlike the way we usually define a musical in our Hindi films. It will be a Broadway styled musical with the characters expressing themselves through song and dance, instead of dialogues. I can’t imagine making a musical without Madhuriji. According to me, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is one of the finest expressions of human aspirations in song and dance. That is the kind of musical I want to do with Madhuri.”

Ranveer Singh beats Salman and Shahrukh….

Newbie Ranveer Singh of Band Baaja Bharaat fame, has outshone stars like SRK and Salman Khan in India’s first annual Facebook Movie Awards.
This award will have users of Facebook vote for their favorite movie star for 2010. Started by social media marketing professionals, it is an initiative to give film folk a transparent award based on viewer choice who are on social networking space. The FBMA entries close by June-end.
Ranveer Singh is going great guns. He has been signed as the new face for Cola, which is being re launched. Ranbir Kapoor also endorses the same brand.

Bollywood’s power couple Abhishek Bachchan and his gorgeous wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to attend the Oscars this Sunday. The couple who is currently in Los Angeles, has been invited by the Academy.
Amitabh Bachchan broke the news first. He writes, “Oh ! And incidentally they were getting fitted at a clothes store, for the Oscars Award ceremony for Sunday – Warren and Abhishek ! Ya , Abhishek and Aishwarya have been invited by the Academy to attend the Oscars on Sunday.”
Director Ashutosh Gowariker is also in LA to attend the Oscars. The director is staying at the same hotel as the Bachchans. They will be dining together over the weekend.
A R Rahman is also going to be there as he is nominated in two categories. We are sure Rahman’s confidence will boot up seeing familar face for Bollywood.
We wonder what Ash and Abhi would be donning on…

‘Dabangg’ star Salman Khan recently proved that he is indeed ‘Dabangg’ when he performed a daredevil stunt in PepsiCo`s new Mountain Dew ad, thus proving that he was indeed the apt celebrity choice by the brand. He jumped off from 10,000 feet in a “wingsuit” from which a parachute springs open. The 45-second TV commercial will air from Friday and a 60-second commercial will be shown in theatres.
“Everyone is afraid of something or the other at some point of his or her life. But if you try to run away from fear, you`d be tired and eventually fear will win. So the best way to overcome fear is to face it, run through it because `Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai`,” Salman said in a statement.
Alpana Titus, category marketing director (flavoured carbonated drinks), PepsiCo India Beverages, says, “Salman has jumped from a mountain which was 10,000 feet high. He did have jitters initially but was confident it would work out well and he would be able to overcome his fears in turn,” she said.
“Salman was our first choice because he embodies our (Mountain Dew`s) tagline `Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai` accurately and he also has a nationwide fan following. People in not only the metros but also the remote areas follow him,” she added.

The latest trend in Bollywood seems to be the saree inspired gown. Every second actress is seen donning one, off late.
Katrina Kaif was first spotted in this outfit on the sets of Big Boss. Kareena Kapoor was recently spotted unveiling the stardust magazine in yet another saree inspired gown.

Salman-Katrina may soon be seen together…

If buzz is to be believed, Director Kabir Khan (director of New York) is coming up with another Bollywood film and has decided to cast Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead. Kat is already a part of the film, but Salman’s consent is awaited.
The first choice for the film lead actor was SRK and then Hrithik Roshan. However, since both of them refused the offer, Kabir zeroed down his search to Sallu Bhai…
News has it that, Katrina Kiaf is unhappy with Salman Khan being a part of the film as the actress wanted to work with new actors, and pairing up with Shahrukh is in her wish list.

The leading lady being sidelined by an actress doing a cameo in an item song, how can Bipasha Basu take such a thing??? well, buzz has it that, Deepika Padukone’s item number in ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ is being perceived as the first look of the film. In fact the poster only has Deepika grooving to the number and no one else.
According to a source, “There were various debates about how the first look poster of the film will be made.
Finally it was decided that rather than having Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu on the posters of the film it would be nice to have Deepika who features in the item song `Dum Maro Dum’.
When Bipasha learnt about the poster she was not very happy and called Rohan Sippy who explained his promotional strategy to her.”

LadyGaga and Priyanka Chopra spotted together…

Desi diva Priyanka Chopra, recently met up with pop sensation Lady GaGa.
Both the girlies hung out after GaGa’s Madison Square Garden concert. PC Chopra has been a very big fan of Lady GaGa’s music for a while.
Says Priyanka, “I like her tracks, “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” and “Drag Queen,” so it was great to see her perform.” Spending time with Gaga after the concert, PC said, “She is keen on doing something in India. I think she is going on an Asia tour soon and that’s really cool. I think it would be great for her to come down [to India].”
Priyanka looked very impressed with Lady GaGa. Says PC, “It was great to see her, her voice surprised me, she has a great voice live!” Priyanka said. “I loved the way she connected with her fans, people really connected with her and her message ‘be proud of who you are,’ it’s a great message.” The concert made Priyanka nostalgic about her performance at Madison Square Garden, “When we did shows at Wembley and Madison Square Garden a few years ago, it’s an amazing feeling to be on stage.”

Uncomfortable in a mini, Deepika switches to shorts…

Deepika Padukone’s sizzling item number in Dum Maaro Dum is getting hotter and hotter by the day. It seems, DP’s outfit for the song was a sexy bikini halter-top paired with the shortest skirt designed by Anahita Adajania Shroff. News also had it that, Deepika worked really hard to look her best in that outfit. However, after all the hard work, the actress finally decided to wear shorts instead of the sexy skirt, as she thought that the skirt was too short for her.
A source explaining the need for the change says, “The skirt Anahita designed barely covered the actress’s derriere yet looked stunning on her. During trials, DP received several compliments. Director Rohan Sippy had briefed her and she understood that the song needed sexy clothes. The trouble began when she started rehearsing for the song.

Director Reema Kagti’s next film The Act of Murder, will see Aamir Khan in the khaki uniform. He is rocking the new look for his role as a cop. He is also seen sporting the mustache style.

Salman Khan looked intense in a biker boy makeover – leather jacket, tee and faded jeans – riding a taxi in Thailand for an action sequence for his upcoming film – Ready. Salman went an extra mile to add that special zing to Anees Bazmi’s comedy drama.
The 45-year-old star suggested an action sequence based on Thailands iconic Tuk Tuk taxies, a first for any Bollywood film.
The production team liked Salman’s suggestion and an action scene was spontaneously written and shot. It showed two tuk-tuks blowing up and the actor jumping into another one and driving off.
Producers, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Rajat Rawail, had to buy 3 Tuk Tuks especially for the scene since they would end up being completely destroyed. They happily did so, keen that ‘Ready’ live up to fan expectations created by Salman’s earlier action films – ‘Wanted’ and ‘Dabangg’.

John Abraham’s passion for bikes is well known. But lately the actor seems to have developed a thing for cars. Though he already owns an Audi Q7, he has acquired another pair of wheels. These days Johnny is seen zooming in his black Audi R8 that is a sports car.
By the way, Ranbir Kapoor also owns the same car.

Bips lands in trouble because of Twitter pic…

Bipasha Basu posts pic of little girls tying her shoelaces on Twitter. The pic has met with overwhelming outrage. Basu says of the girls in question, one’s a sister, the other a friend. But her fans and followers, refuse to believe.
Displaying a picture of her feet with two young girls bending over to tie her shoelaces, Bips wrote, “I need to learn to tie shoe laces ASAP! Embarassed that I can’t! No patience.. grrrrr! Promise I am not spoilt! Will learn soon,” and tagged it with the picture.
Her this tweet and pic was followed by a bombardment of comments about child labour. Under pressure, Bips hastily deleted the tweet but forgot to erase the picture. It was only later that the photo went missing from her micro-blogging site.
‘Sorry y’all!’ She later tweeted, “Well the people helping me in the pix are my friend and sister, who I help often with the same! So am sorry if it hurt anyone’s sentiments!”

Katrina moves on from acting to singing…

Last year, actress Katrina Kaif lent her voice to A R Rahman’s album of nursery rhymes and this year, Kats is all geared up set to sing in Yash Raj Films’ Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
Apparently, Kat’s co-star in the film Ali Zafar convinced Katrina to sing in the film. Said a source, “Katrina was not really in the mood to try out something new.“She has just started to get a grasp over her spoken Hindi. It was Ali who convinced her.”
Katrina chose not to comment but Sohail Sen, who composed the music for the film said, “We still haven’t decided on the singers.”
The source however maintained, “Ali Zafar has sung three songs in the film and Katrina has sung one of the tracks composed by Sohail Sen.”

The shooting for Shirish Kunder’s Joker has started in Chandigarh and the entire star cast is having a gala time on the sets. Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha are the lead stars in this mega-budget film.
Farah Khan, Shirish’s wife is also planning a sizzling item number for the film which will have Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi matching steps to a racy song.
Joker also has Shreyas Talpade, Vindoo Dara Singh along with Sonakshi and Akshay. Sonkashi’s look in this pic is cute but it is heard that she will get a sexy makeover.

SRK’s ‘D’ stands for Deepika Padukone???

The ‘D’ tattoo on Shahrukh Khan’s arm is making quite a lot of buzz in and around Bollywood. SRK who is not fond of tattoos is more than happy to flaunt it, but what does ‘D’ stands for? Ask SRK, and he will show his wit.
Known for his sense of humour, Khan loves to give witty replies to the questioned tossed at him. The star is constantly being asked what the tattoo ‘D’ stands for, and he replies, “It’s for Deepika Padukone!” His wonderful Om Shanti Om co-star.
However, this ‘D’ is a mehendi tattoo which looks like a permanent one and it is for his upcoming action thriller Don 2. So ‘D’ stands for Don, once the star is done with the film, the tattoo will be gone.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ on Imagine TV is showing some real action-packed water sports games where celebrities are battling out with each other. One of the contestants on the show is Mink Brar, who, after three weeks on the show, claims to have lost six kilos.
Mink grew up in Germany and stepped into Bollywood with ‘Pyar Ka Tarana’ (2003). She was then seen in few films like ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’ and ‘Saat Rang Ke Sapne’. She then did a music album – ‘Ghoongat Remix’ and also launched a production house Bro & Sis Productions with her brother, Punnu.
As for the reality shows on smaller screen, Mink did a dancing show, Dancing Queen on Colors, where she was a mentor. She was also one of the contestants of the 2009 adventure reality show, “Sarkaar Ki Duniya” on Real TV channel but was eliminited early.

Zarine Khan shot to limelight as Salman Khan’s discovery in ‘Veer’ and because of her apparent similarity in looks to Salman’s love interest Katrina Kaif. It seems that Salman has not forgotten the Kat-look-alike and is making all possible efforts to keep Zarine’s career going. He has convinced director Anees Bazmee, who is directing ‘Ready’ to rope in Zarine for a guest appearance in the film. In the movie Zarine will be seen with Arbaaz Khan in a brief role. During the weekend, Arbaaz and Zarine flew down to Bangkok to shoot the film.
In Pattaya, Salman Khan shot impressive stunts while driving a tuk-tuk in the narrow streets, in line with Hollywood actor Pierce Brosnan’s fast-paced ad in the ubiquitous Thai rickshaw. The scene shows two tuk-tuks blowing up and the actor jumping into another one and driving off.

Rajinikanth’s next, after the super blockbuster Endhiran/Robot is Rana. He will be playing triple role and will be romancing Deepika Padukone. Three of those roles span different generations with Deepika romancing the youngest Rajini. Madhuri was approached to play his mother to the youngest one and a wife to the older one.
The Dhak Dhak star said no to the actor who offered him one of the three leads in his upcoming film. Rajinikanth who has acted with Madhuri before in Uttar Dakshin in 1987 was keen to sign Madhuri in the film Rana. But the actress turned down the offer saying she was missing her sons and wanted to fly back to US.

In the film she plays one of the ladies whom the protagonist (Ranveer Singh) flirts with. The movie’s leading lady, however, will be Anushka Sharma.

Join Bollywood stars in wishing Rahman good luck….

A.R. Rahman has bagged two nominations at the 83rd Academy Awards for his work in Danny Boyle’s ” 127 Hours”. His colleagues and friends wish him luck and are hoping he brings the golden statuette home again The entire film frat is hoping that the composer wins again at the gala event on Sunday.
Says Rani Mukerji, “I feel great. I feel wonderful because Rahman is one person who has made us so proud and I am really, really happy. I wish him all the best,”
Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan said: “That’s a great achievement. The last time when he won the Oscar, it looked like one time dream. I wish him all the best. He is a true deserving candidate and pride of the country.”
Says singer Udit Narayan, “He had to get the nominations. He has already has two to his credit. He will continue getting them. He has already made India proud and would continue doing so. My best wishes are always with him,”.
Singer Kailash Kher said: “I congratulate him and wish him all the best. Every year he should achieve more honours.”
“The whole country is proud of him. He is good, he is talented and I hope he delivers time and again. I am very happy. I wish him all the best,” actor Arshad Warsi said.

Sonakshi Sinha made a marvelous debut with ‘Dabangg’ opposite Salman Khan and impressed everyone with her charms and talent. So much so, that veteran actor Kamal Hassan decided to cast her in his next project.
The 56 year old Southern superstar is working on his next project which is based on 2001’s ‘Hannibal’, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins and Julianne Moore. The movie is to be directed by Selvaraghavan and will be made in Tamil. However, the makers have a plan to dub it into Hindi and Telugu as well.
Selvaraghavan is planning to meet Sonakshi soon to discuss the script with her and get her affirmative nod.

Katrina Kaif will be seen in ‘Main Krishna Hoon’ which is being produced by her long-term hairdresser Pomila Hunter. Her role in the film is going to be a cameo and will be seen in the second half of the flick. Katrina Kaif is said to have signed the film for free. Debutant producer Pomila confirms the news.
This is not the first time that such a thing has happened in Bollywood. Earlier Amitabh Bachchan appeared in the Bhojpuri film ‘Ganga’ that was made by Deepak Sawant, the make-up man of Big B’s for 30years. And this time, Katrina Kaif’s turn to lend her helping hand to Pomila.
Kat might not be with Salman Khan anymore, but in all likelihood it appears that the generosity of the superstar has rubbed onto the ex-of the hunk. So after doing a cameo in Shirish Kunder’s upcoming flick ‘Joker’ alongside the lead pair of the film Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar in ‘Joker’, she will be seen in ‘Main Krishna Hoon’ also.

Rohit Shetty is set on making the remake of ‘Singham’ which had been a huge hit down South. He has already finalized Ajay Devgan for the male lead and wanted Anushka Shetty to play Ajay’s love interest because she was in the original film with Sooriya.
However, when Anushka was offered the film, she reportedly demanded Rs 1.5 crore. Not to mention here that Rohit did not entertain her high demands and she had to let go this golden opportunity for a break in Bollywood.
Anushka has now been replaced by Kajal Agarwal, a popular name in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada who gathered a huge fan following after her performance as Yuvarani Mitravinda Devi in Magadheera.
No wonder Rohit is all praises for his new heroine and says, “She is very popular down south. She has done Magadheera, one of the biggest Telegu hits of all time. We are confident about her pulling off the role successfully.”

If you manage to catch Salman Khan’s attention, consider yourself blessed! Well, actress Zarine Khan considers herself blessed to have Sallu by her side.
Her role in Verr, was less than satisfying, yet, Zarine has still managed to remain Salman’s favorite protegee.
News has it that, Salman is, has convinced Anees Bazmee to bring Zarine on board, for a small appearance in Ready. Zarine, accompanied by Dabangg producer, Arbaaz Khan, flew down to Bangkok, on Friday to shoot the cameo with Salman, in Pattaya.
Bazmee confirms, “It’s a small scene. We needed Arbaaz and Zarine. Salman’s equation with them made it easy for us to get them to agree to do the scene.”
A source tells us, “Salman felt Zarine is being left behind for no fault of hers. Salman somehow feels responsible for Zarine’s career not taking off. He is trying to get her into his new projects.”

Salman moves on from Chulbul Pandey to Lovely Singh…

Names like Rahul, Rohit, Rohan, Prem and Raj is no more used in Bollywood. Its an era of Chulbul Pandey and Robin hood Pandey. After Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan will now be called as Lovely Singh.
Salman Khan’s character in Bodyguard is called Lovely Singh. Apparently, they wanted it to be Chulbul Pandey, but the star did not want his trademark Dabangg name in it. Lovely Singh is also the name of a B-Town director who made Kya Love Story Hai.
Be it Chulbul Pandey or Lovely Sigh, Salman will be loved by his fans in any forms and figure.

Priyanka Chopra is undoubtedly one of the reigning actresses in Bollywood now and given the way she has maturely handled the challenging character in her latest release ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ she has all reasons to be beaming and gleaming these days.
However, success comes with its own price. While promoting the film at a press meet, Priyanka was accused by a Delhi resident for not being a true Punjabi. Though Priyanka was taken aback by the accusation, she tried to laughed it off saying she is very much a Punjabi. But the man kept on questioning her sincerity for Punjab and went on to say that she had done nothing for Punjab or Punjabis. Priyanka, finally, ended having a heated argument with him, told him to shut up and leave.
Priyanka’s father Ashok Chopra is a Punjabi while her mother belongs to Jharkhand. Having spent her childhood in Uttar Pradesh, PC does not have much connection with the state of Punjab.

Aamir Khan regrets having acted in 3 idiots….

Perfectionist Aamir Khan feels he should not have taken the role of a college student in 3 Idiots.
“I shouldn’t have acted in 3 Idiots as in no way do I look like an 18 year old. The only reason I did the film was because it was about education,” said Aamir, who was in the capital on Monday to launch the book ‘Colours of my Rainbow’ by Himani Verma.
The book tells the story of struggles of Salma Ansari, wife of the Vice President of India Hamid Ansari, to set up schools to marginalized and underprivileged children in Aligarh.
Aamir said he was drawn towards the subject of education in movies after directing Taare Zameen Par.
“I was drawn towards stories about education ever since Taare Zameen Par and then 3 Idiots happened. Cinema has the ability to reach out to people and more films upholding this cause should be made,” said the actor.
Aamir flew down from Berlin where he is on the jury at the Berlin Film Festival.

Yana Gupta completes her act with a broken nose

Yana Gupta made her debut into Bollywood with the item number Babuji in Dum (2003) which on to be a rage among cine goers. Later, she also featured in the item song Oh! What A Babe in Rakht (2004) and in a music album of her own. Gupta is better known to the Tamil audience for ‘Kadhal Yaanai’ in Anniyan. She is now-a-days in news once again with the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4’. She has impressed everyone with her dancing skills and is one of the finalists along with Sushant Singh Rajput, Ankita Lokhande, Mahi Vij and Meiyang Chang on the show.
So much is her dedication to the show that he broke her nose while performing in a dance sequence but managed to complete her performance with the broken nose before rushing to the hospital. She had to undergo an operation for the fracture. Here is what the beautiful 31 year old Czech-born model-actor wrote on her micro-blogging site, “Remember our domestic violence act? Did X-ray finally and my nose is fractured. Surgery on Thursday. I wonder how I managed to dance till the end.”

Sarah Jane Dias on Femina March. she will be seen opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the movie ‘Game’.
Game is an upcoming flick directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
It is a whodunit tale spanning 5 international cities; a slick edge-of-the-seat crime thriller with twists and turns involving love, revenge, retribution and good old-fashioned murder.
The flick is set to release on April 1, 2011.

So, they were obvious choices when India TV chose 12 contestants for their unique show, ‘Big Toss’ to cash in on the World Cup Fever. The show will be shown only when India is playing. It will have 12 contestants divided into two groups. Each group will choose its favourite player from the Indian team and bet on him. The group that scores the maximum points will be declared the winner of a Honda car.
“Both of them can add a lot of drama to the show and people are interested in watching them on small screen,” explained Hemant Sharma, news editor of India TV, for choosing Rakhi and Veena for the show.
Sharma also explained why he came up with this idea of a show. “Usually, during the World Cup matches, all the news channels organize discussions with four or five experts in the studio. This concept doesn’t excite people anymore. We wanted to do something different so we zeroed in on this concept,” Sharma told.
